Borgund Stave Church (Borgund, Norway).
I just learned about these medieval wooden churches last night. Was I not listening during our lectures? (-_-) Anyway, their architectural style is Romanesque but stave churches uniquely combined Christian with the Viking Age influences of arts and architecture [source] Built using the post and beam construction method, they got their name from stafr/stave, Old Norse/ Norweigan names for load-bearing posts.
